Give Them Something To Look Forward To During The Hot Months
The temperatures in the units are climbing now and I'd be willing to bet that they started topping 100 degrees in units like Gurney in early May.
Although you get a half hour or so of rec time, usually, in the units other than that and school there isn't much to do or look forward to other than "making store" for those lucky enough to have family put money on their books. The only other bright spot is the possibility of making parole and getting out sooner.
As we discussed a few weeks ago, the parole rates are higher now than they've been for a long, long time so why not take advantage o fit and get the people inside started working on their parole packet?
Our parole book is available as a download only or, even better for those on the inside, a download and a printed copy that we can mail into the prison for them. Since we are a publishing company we are allowed to mail the books directly to the prisoners.
Both the printed and digital formats include instructions, copies of the pertinent laws and examples and forms. The purchase of the book will also allow you to use the Calculator function on this website once it is completed. This allows you to quickly and easily calculate the parole guidelines score and include it in the parole packet along with the support letters and other information to help the Texas Board of Pardons and Parole to make a favorable decision.
If you are one of the people fortunate enough to be able to afford a Texas parole attorney for the process then we encourage you to do so, preferably one of the ones that advertise on this site. However, times are tough and we realize that many people can't afford a Texas parole lawyer but still want to increase their loved one's chances of making parole which is where our book How to Prepare a Texas Parole Presentation Package comes into play.
