For those of you who are interested, and you should be interested if you have a loved one in prison and/or looking at parole, there is a link in the sidebar on the right to the Texas House Corrections Committee. This is the part of the legislature, along with the Criminal Justice Committee, that deals with prison and parole issues. I put a link there in case you are interested in listening to what they have to say. With all of the changes that are being contemplated you should take a moment to listen to these and see what they are planning. The last one on the site is from 9/10 but I would anticipate them being updated regularly now that the House is back in session.
