There seems to be a lot of confusion on the internet about how to find out where a prisoner is located in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and what is their parole status.

It is actually easy to find out the latest information, although it can run a few days behind.

If you look on the sidebar of the main page of our website there is a section called Helpful Websites. The third link from the bottom is Texas Prison Inmate Search. If you click on that link, which we also have here, then that takes you to the official website of the TDCJ and you can look up a prisoner by name, TDC number, etc.

UPDATE: The state's offender search webpage has some kind of problem with it that makes it appear that the link and the webpage doesn't work. However, the link on our website is correct so if you get an error message try clearing your browser's history and/or cookies and then going back to the webpage.
